About the Doctors

David H. McConnell, M.D.

Dr. David McConnell graduated from the University of Tennessee Center of Health Sciences, Memphis. He completed his residency at Baroness-Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a past president of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association serving on the committee for Continuing Education and the American Medical Association. He is formerly an instructor at the University of Tennessee Center of Health Sciences, Department of Family Practice. He also serves as a Cocke County Medical Examiner.

A.J. Garbarino, Jr., M.D.

Dr. A.J. Garbarino, Jr. graduated from the University of Tennessee Center of Health Science, Memphis. Dr. Garbarino completed an additional year of training in Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians, Tennessee Medical Association, Southern Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He served on the Tennessee State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Garbarino is a team physician for Cocke County High School athletes.

Michael T. Hood, M.D.

Dr. Michael Hood graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis. Dr. Hood completed his internship and residency in Family Practice at East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Bristol. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Currently, he is an assistant clinical professor of the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU. Dr. Hood is an examiner for the F.A.A. for pilot physicals. He is currently president of the Newport Theatre Guild.

David J. Kickliter, M.D.

Dr. David Kickliter graduated from the University of Tennessee Center of Health Sciences. Dr. Kickliter completed his internship with the Gadsden Memorial Hospital Family Practice Program, a division of the University of Alabama. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Kickliter is Board Certified in Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Tennessee Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He is a former clinical instructor for the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Knoxville.

Jennifer Eisenhower, F.N.P.

Jennifer Eisenhower graduated from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and continued there for her Master of Science in Nursing. Jennifer is licensed with the State of Tennessee as an Advanced Practice Nurse and Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
